First time here and I must say I am so impressed. I moved over from tudor Grange which is not a nice place at all. Such a dirty place and the staff are so rude. Lack of groups, I could go on. But this place is like night and day in contrast. Lovely staff, so polite and helpful. It's super clean and spacious. The pool is heated and has a jacuzzi, steam and sauna rooms all on the same level. Showers are spacious and have wash gel in there. The hairdryers are powerful and there is even hair straighteners. The changing rooms are really spacious as are the lockers. An excellent experience has now made me want to return.

As a family we really love The village gym. The classes are great, booking essential, the new arrangement of the gym floor is so much better and caters for everything you may need. The staff and friendly and very helpful too.

Dear Customer Services, I trust this message finds you well. I am a Village Hotel Solihull gym member for over a year. Overall, my experience has been positive, but I write to express disappointment about the cleanliness of the facilities. I have encountered unacceptable cleanliness levels at the gym, as evident in the attached photo taken then. This situation disappoints me, as I highlighted similar concerns to the Village Member Relations team in February 2023, following their request for feedback. Unfortunately, I've observed no improvement since. As a member with two months remaining on my current membership, there are clearly cleanliness concerns that have left me disappointed. I kindly request prompt consideration to address these issues.

The village gym is really clean and maintained well. The recent equipment upgrade has been brilliant. They actually listen to members feedback. The staff are friendly, especially Kerry B. She is always willing to go out of her way to help. Having a pleasant person at the front desk really sets you off for a good workout!

Clean and lovely gym. A good choice of facilities to use. Great staff, in particular Kerry B. Thanks to Kerry’s professionalism and kindness I happily referred two of my family members who also came back to me and said the same thing about Kerry. They have both since joined the gym. :)

Good gym with great swimming pool, sauna and steam room and FITT classes included in membership. Can get busy and so lockers aren't always available because most don't work when trying to lock them! The shower area sometimes smells really bad as do the toilet area! Would he helpful to have some kind of spray of freshener system or clean the showers more often (maybe guttering too). People are friendly but some can be inconsiderate and use up more space than needed in the changing rooms. Be aware that the facilities are shared both men and women and kids. During the weekend the swimming pool will be filled with children and you may not find space to swim and especially if you're not a good swimmer you might feed this becomes challenging for space and comfort!

I enjoy the 20m pool and jacuzzi, I have not actually used the gym yet. Changing facilities are clean, showers are good with shower gel in each cubicle. Bistro Bar is good, plenty of TVs showing sports, on big games rugby / football it is lively, usual bar type food available, bonus of discounted Bistro purchases with the gym membership card. There is a small Starbucks coffee outlet. All the gym staff have been very pleasant to me, no complaints there.

Have now been a member of village gym for 5 months. I joined to get some variety in my training - in particular taking on classes. A big step for me as gym is not my comfort zone and body confidence has kept me away from group training. I was impressed by the standard and cleanliness of the gym itself and the variery of free weight machines and conditioning / cable machines. Kit is in good order and accessible. I quickly gave up going at peak times, as it gets absolutely rammed - do think they may need to cap membership numbers or manage flow somehow. The variety of classes are excellent and the easy to use app makes booking easy. The class-rooms are exceptionally clean and well set up. The cycle studio in particular benefits from a virtual screen / VR experience which is perfect for those with low confidence (and those who get bored quickly!). Pool, sauma, steam are clean, accessible and well maintained. Staff are helpful when directly approached but not hugely engaging otherwise - not an issue for me particularly. Changing and washing facilities (mens) are adequate, if dated, and could certainly use an update. Showers are hot and powerful which is a must for me, but seem to use an open drain so there is always a sewage smell which is probably my only issue. In general, a good package for the price but showing its age in places.
